The company
Our client, a leading multinational network of various marketing and communication companies providing customized marketing solutions on behalf of its clients is searching for an Area Controller for its Middle East geographic cluster.
The role
Reporting to the Area Controller Director for the EMEA Region, the main responsibilities are :
· Regular planning and coordination of cluster Team agenda
· Review and consolidation of cluster Team deliverables
· Monthly reporting and accounting review of all agencies within the Middle East cluster and others as required
· Review of agency risk, staff assessment and performance
· Regular agency visits within the Middle East cluster and other EMEA IPG agencies as required
· Monthly variance analysis of all agencies within the Middle East cluster and others as required
· Coordination with PWC on external audits and monitoring the quality of the agency deliverables
· Coordination and communication with other functional groups in the Regional Monitoring Control team to facilitate enhanced accounting support of the agencies in the cluster
· Ad hoc support of agencies in the cluster to further develop and improve processes both on operational and strategic level
The candidate
· Degree in Business Administration
· 8 years of relevant experience in controlling or accounting activities, preferably from the Big 4
· Experience in Local and USGAAP
· Experience in internal processes and control activities (SOX).
· Good knowledge of Hyperion and, or SAP
· Experience in managing highly skilled resources
· Able and willing to undertake up to 50% travel abroad the Middle East Area (3 weeks per month during the first year)
· English fluent
